Sansa and Arya couldn't discuss this ahead of time because Littlefinger could have overheard them. Sansa ran the trial and Arya rolled with it because despite their differences, despite the years of separation, no one knows you like a sibling.

I love how his death isn't grand. He had all of these grand plans that started all of these events. He just ends up with his throat cut and dead on the floor .

I can't stand littlefinger. But he was one of the best written characters in the entire show/books, and the last two seasons really did not do him justice. There's no way in ell two girls, one who is an assassin but not a rookie in manipulation and another who is merely a little girl, would've killed him.
Fan service and predictable.
Though props to Petyr here for this acting, one of the best in the show.

The writers are reaching the series' end so they got sloppy and had two upstart, little girls magically deceive and kill off one of the most cunning men, and one of the greatest spymasters, in the land. Also to occasionally throw a bone to feminists.

The final point where the show stops being "The Game" and simply being "That show about ZOMBIE APOKALYPSE!".
