If you haven’t finished watching Stranger Things 2, turn back now! You can definitely expect spoilers ahead. The second season of Stranger Things wrapped about as neatly as you could hope for; Hawkins, Indiana is once again safe from the threat of the Upside-Down, and Mike and Eleven finally got that dance. Yeah, we’re still hurting inside for Bob. The rest of the cast made it through the season with nothing worse than a broken nose and a
few bruised egos. But those last few episodes came and went like a lightning strike, so let’s take a moment to slow it down and look at some of the finer points of what happened at the end of Stranger Things 2…

  1. What was your favorite '80s reference in Stranger Things 2? We're gonna have to go with Steve wearing a red bandanna in the tunnels like Brandon did in The Goonies!

  2. The song is sweet when applied to the kids, but the last verse “can’t you see you belong to me” as it flips to the upside down to the shadow monster makes it a bit ominous.

  3. My only complaints about this season;

    – The Kali/008 episode was boring. When you set up a cliffhanger where the Demodogs enter Hawkins lab with everybody seeming to head in that direction, an episode where El/Jane becomes emo and hangs out with homeless freaks isn't as interesting as it would seem to be. The only good thing that came out of that episode was Kali helping El/Jane figure out her powers.

    – Mike just needed to shut up. He was being a dick to Max.

    – Bob dying. His dead was necessary and made sense, but that can't stop my emotions
    Bob why
    Bob
    No
    Please no Bob
    Damn that mop

  4. Season 2 was honestly an awesome season. And i definitely enjoyed it all the way through. Even the episode with Eleven's sister. And Bob was a beloved character, i was worried about him since i knew about him in season 2. I just knew something would happen to him. And he was such a great guy. But they obviously killed him off just to get Joyce and Hopper together in season 3, which i don't mind either cuz i kinda ship them lmao.

  5. My theory is once the Upside Down was just a parallel universe to our own almost if not entirely identical – but the Mind Flayer (MF) got in and turned it into the upside down (which is why it still has all the same buildings etc, just all decayed and ruined), and now it's trying to do the same to our world. If that's the case I guess season 3 will focus more on the MF.
