“Game of Thrones” may have ended six month ago, but you can still toast to the Iron Throne.
Liquor conglomerate Diageo and HBO have announced the final addition in their “Game of Thrones” Limited Single Malt Scotch Whisky Collection, reported Delish.
Entitled “Six Kingdoms – Mortlach Single Malt Scotch Whisky Aged 15 Years,” the whisky is the ninth in the line which first launched earlier this year.
The newest elixir’s name pays tribute to the finale of the blockbuster series which saw the traditional seven kingdoms reduced to sixth as Queen Sansa Stark declared the North would remain independent of Westeros.
In addition, the whisky’s packaging is sure to delight fans of the new King as it features images of the Three-Eyed Raven in honor of Bran Stark.
According to a press release, the taste is said to be bold, smooth with notes of vanilla and spice “befitting of those with a noble palate” Party like you’re in King’s Landing!
Six Kingdoms complete’s the limited-edition collection which previously released whiskies named after House Tully, House Stark, House Targaryen, House Lannister, House Greyjoy, House Baratheon, House Tyrell and the Night’s Watch.
Unfortunately, you might need dragonglass to get your hands on some as it will only be available in limited quantities beginning in December for a $150 per bottle.
Those that are lucky enough to score the whisky may want to wait to open it as HBO recently announced they are producing a prequel that takes place 300 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.”
The new series will be based on the George R. R. Martin novel “Fire & Blood” and will delve into the history of the Targaryens.
There’s no premiere date yet, so maybe scoop up a few extra bottles of Six Kingdoms because it’s going to be a really long winter.
