Anyone who fights arthur dayne in single combat will die. Mountain,hound Jamie etc. Although barristen in his prime is also strong and don't forget aemon dragonknight and Duncan the tall.
The ansestral sword of the daynes is a greatsword called dawn. It was made from a meteorite that fell in their domain long ago. Dayne in the show has twin swords instead. But he's the same badass fighter as he was in the books.

The greatest knight, ok, but I'll say the greatest kings guards in my opinion is Aaemon Targaryen, the dragon knight and Ser Barristan Selmy, then Ser Arthur Dayne. Yes, he is no joke, but even GRRM said Barristan Selmy would beat Arthur Danye, however he would beat him without ser Arthur using Dawn.
