  1. What if…. The horn Sam recovered and presumably repaired is the Horn of Winter… The Night King has now breached the Wall and Winterfell is the next major stop along his path south… Now, Sam and Bran are there, with Dany and Jon headed that way. All united, they begin the Battle for Survival against the Night King. As the conflict rages on and near the bring of defeat, the Horn of Winter is sounded, triggering a massive earthquake which parts the North and swallows the Night King and the Others. The survivors regroup to take on Cersei for breaking her promise to help and the ultimate winner sits on the Iron Throne! All hail King Jon/Aegon

  2. So if the Children and First Men made the Horn maybe it was because they actually did want to get rid of the wall. First Jorumund helped defeat the Night's King so it's possible they felt the Wall was too powerful and if someone got control again then it could be worse and so they had a last ditch plan. It could also be the Children and Wilding ancestors North of the Wall disagreed with the Night's Watch's Policy of blocking everyone from beyond the Wall and made the horn in retaliation.

  3. Is it possible that a horn like the Horn of Winter or even the horn itself could have brought about the Doom of Valyria. It seems like an event that could have been caused by earthquakes or "giants of the earth".

  4. I took the "giants awoke" phrase to mean an earthquake as well. But remember (as you said before) that the fables of old in GoT are not always reliable. The horn could simply be nothing but legend.

If the horn does work, then maybe you're onto something with the theory that the WWs built the wall. Maybe the men and children of the forest forced the WWs to retreat and build the wall, not from a treaty, but from defeat.

  5. I think it could of been benjen stark who took the horn from the crypts of winterfell when he visited in AGOT and took it beyond the wall when he went ranging. Also has benjen is a stark it is possible too that he is or has a small part ability to be a warg and was taking the horn to meet the 3 eyed raven.
