I was suprised so many people requested Jamie Lannister as a subject. So here you go folks. The King Slayer is played brilliantly by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

  1. I just realized that in the first season, Jaime isn't a hateful man. Sure, he's flippant and sarcastic, but he's so straightforward and open. He keeps opening himself up, vulnerable again and again, and keeps being rejected and hurt by it, that he develops this attitude. Even in the scene where he challenges Robb, he's earnest and honest about his desire and reasons. He's like Sansa in that she wanted to be an ideal princess, and he wanted to be an ideal knight… But the world isn't like that, and his choices in tough situations make him hated, and he becomes… well, not jaded, like the Hound, but sarcastic. He laments that his honor causes him to be regarded as honorless. He's the family member who is not a schemer, at all. Even his interactions with Ned are of someone trying earnestly to build respect and comraderie, and when he's rejected, he doesn't want anything to do with Ned.

On another note, Tywin keeps talking about family living on, not your own honor, because he's had to inherit a vulnerable situation from his father, and he wants to make sure his family never lands in that situation again. Anyone of them can sacrifice some desire, as long as their kids don't inherit a weak house. On another note, when he notes that Tyrion is wounded, it's with detached surprise. When I first watched that scene, I mistook it for the first signs of respect.

  2. Tries to kill a 10 year old by pushing him out a window and fucks his sister fathering 3+ pregnancies. Jaime Lannister will NEVER be redeemable – not season 7, not ever.
