Bella Ramsey continues to get flack for the Game of Thrones finale nearly four years on.

The 19-year-old actor, who shot to fame as young noblewoman Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy television series, reflected on the show’s controversial ending during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, revealing that people like to rant to her about it.

Of course, Game of Thrones concluded in 2019 after eight years, in an episode that saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) torch King’s Landing, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) kill her to prevent further destruction and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) become the new king of the Seven Kingdoms.

It was such a divisive ending that devastated fans even launch a campaign calling for creators to re-write the season in its entirety.

Addressing the storm surrounding the last episode, Bella told host Kimmel:  ‘People like to ask me what I thought of the ending. And I ask them back, “What did you think of it?”‘

‘I don’t have an opinion. I just let them either hate on it or talk about how great it was — mostly hate on the ending for like 10 minutes, and then I just sit there and listen and then say, “Goodbye, nice to meet you,” and then that’s it.’

She added: ‘Generally, the consensus is that it wasn’t great… It seemed fine to me.’

While the mains series of Game of Thrones is long over, Bella is back on our television screens in the new fantasy drama The Last of Us, in which she stars alongside Pedro Pascal.

Bella takes on the role of Ellie in the nine-part show, a 14-year-old, who struggles to come to terms that she may have a big role to play in saving the world as she knows it.

The Last of Us is based on a game of the same name, which sold more than 4 million copies in its first weekend of its arrival.

The Last Of Us is available to stream on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
