Game of Thrones deals with the highest stakes on television. At any given moment, one of the main characters can die in the blink of an eye. We have seen countless characters come and go, whether we wanted them to or not. Because of the incredibly high stakes on the series, there are plenty of moments that are quite possibly the most satisfying in TV history. So without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the most satisfying moments on the HBO series.

Daenerys sets the army of unsullied free

One of the most iconic moments in the series is when Daenerys single-handedly frees an entire army of slaves. Before D&D decided to make the character a power-hungry queen, she was a loving peacemaker who would risk her life to free the unsullied. The Dragon Queen ends up negotiating with the slaver, who is willing to trade his army of slaves for one of her dragons. Yet Daenerys shocks the slaver when she speaks Valyrian, the language he has been using to insult her throughout the episode.

In Valyrian, she orders the slaves to kill the slaver. Her loyal dragon comes back to Daenerys, and the slaver is left to die.

Ramsay Bolton’s demise

If you look up the word “sadist” in the dictionary, Ramsay Bolton’s face should appear right next to it. The bastard son of Roose Bolton makes King Joffrey look like Mother Teresa in comparison. Ramsay gets genuine joy out of crushing the spirits of anyone he passes. The people who suffer the most at the hands of Ramsay are members of the Stark tribe. Theon Greyjoy gets the worst of it, and Sansa doesn’t breeze through her days with Ramsay either. In the end, Sansa sends her sinister husband to his death when she commands a pack of starving dogs to feast upon him.

Tyrion stands up to Tywin while on trial

Tyrion is one of the most lovable characters on Game of Thrones. He is as brilliant as he is kind, which is why he never deserved the awful treatment brought upon by his father, Tywin Lannister. When Tyrion is put on trial for killing King Joffrey, Tywin asks if his son is guilty. Although he knows his son didn’t do it, he proves his hatred for him when he puts him on trial.

Tyrion is sick of being mistreated his whole life. Because of this, he tells Tywin, “I am guilty of a far more monstrous crime. I am guilty of being a dwarf… I’ve been on trial for that my entire life.”

King Joffrey dies

Can anybody stand King Joffrey? He is a malicious human from the very beginning, and he likes to kill people for sport. Even the most powerful people in Westeros find themselves frightened by his actions, despite the fact that he is only a boy. After mistreating everyone around him, fans are met with a title wave of satisfaction when he gets killed.

Arya kills The Night King

The Night King is to Game of Thrones as Lord Voldemort is to Harry Potter. He represents all things evil, and is perhaps the greatest threat throughout the entire Thrones universe.

Chances are, you started jumping up and down while screaming at the television when Arya killed The Night King. It’s easily one of the most satisfying moments on the entire show.

Brienne and Jaime finally admit their feelings for each other

Game of Thrones has some beautiful romances sprinkled throughout the series. One of the best love stories is the one between Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth. Often, their scenes feel less like an episode Game of Thrones, and more like something taken straight out of a romantic comedy. They have all the chemistry and banter of an old married couple, which is why fans were smiling from ear to ear when they finally revealed their feelings for each other.
