  1. Originally, Hugh Jackman wasn't director Bryan Singer's original choice. Originally Singer wanted to invited a plethora of good-looking teenage boys to some pool parties which he intended would double as casting calls…

CUT. CUT. Edit that, they can't handle the truth.

  2. The one that comes to my mind is Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings. Stewart Townsend was originally cast and replaced after four days. I can't imagine anyone else in that role now!

  3. Can't believe you left out Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. They already had someone set to play Aragorn, but at the last moment decided he was too young. They then asked Viggo. He accepted and flew to New Zealand two days later to begin filming.

  4. While I love Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Christian Bale, and Ed Harris in their respective roles, I honestly could see them being replaced by other actors. However, Clint Eastwood, Michael Biehn, Gena Davis, and especially Hugh Jackman are the only choices for their respective roles.

  5. Richard Crenna as Colonel Samuel Trautman in First Blood.
Kirk Douglas walked off the set after creative differences with Sylvester Stallone and director Ted Kotcheff.
Crenna was hired over the phone in LA on a Friday.
On the following Monday he was freezing his ass off in British Columbia in his iconic beret and uniform as Colonel Trautman, all without a single rehearsal.
