Arm Wrestling Match Goes Horribly Wrong…Not for the Squeamish! ►►

You may not know Halfthor Bjornsson by name, but you probably know him by frame—the 6’9″, 419-pound frame that plays Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane on HBO’s Game of Thrones. He won Europe’s Strongest Man in 2014 and 2015, and was runner-up in World’s Strongest Man in 2014. And yet, he can’t beat a guy almost 200 pounds lighter than him in arm wrestling. That’s because the 225-pounder in question is Devon Larratt—formerly of the Canadian Special Forces and now a two-time WAL heavyweight arm wrestling champion.

  1. Seeing as how Thor stepped into an event he never does I think it is only fitting that larratt should try and defeat him in his sport. love to see this arm wrestler try a 400 pound atlas stone , 1500 lb super yoke or perhaps an 1000 lb deadlift.

  2. Proof that a guy with all his strength up top can compete in an upper body strength competition with someone who weighs much more yet has a balanced build. Wow. (facepalm) Account for the bodyfat a strongman needs to max out his size, and their arms looked the same size, unless you want to pretend having muscles further from the fulcrums in a longer limb is an advantage in a leverage competition. Just embarrassing.

  3. skill and technique yes…. but Larrat also has a hand grip and wrist strength like no other… not saying the mtn doesn't by any means…… 6'5'' 225, Larrat is no tiny slouch by any means but dang he looks normal compared to the mtn
