What are the Game of Thrones cast members up to now that the show is over the year behind them? Stuff? When are we going to tell you about it? Now.

First up, we have Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane) sitting down to watch some of the very strange commercials he’s made over the years. I’m seriously, this guy did not let his Game of Thrones celebrity go to waste. He’s been the world’s biggest Christmas elf, carried people in a pouch strapped to the front of his body, cradled a singing sea turtle, crashed board meetings, dressed as Colonel Sanders and more. Relive the memories:

Meanwhile, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) makes some new memories when he sinks a difficult shot during a disc gold tournament and gets ecstatic. And yes, I have looked it up and confirmed that disc golf is a thing.

And when he’s not playing disc golf, he is of course chucking axes:

“This is what Norwegians do in their spare time.” I see no reason to contradict him.

Shifting gears, Brenock O’Connor (Olly) talked to Siliconeer about getting out of the shadow of Game of Thrones. Since he played something of a hated character best known for murdering Jon Snow at the end of season 5, you’d figure that’d be something he wanted, but not so much.

“This is a question that I get asked a lot, not just by journalists, but by people in my family, like, ‘how are you going to get out of the ‘Game Of Thrones’ shadow’. And I don’t look at it as a shadow,” O’Connor said.

I look at it as glorious cover to stop me from getting rained on all the time. It’s a glorious comfort blanket to be in one of the greatest shows of all time. And I can only go outward from there and do what I want to do because I’ve got this incredible net of being involved in one of the most widely regarded best told stories of all time. So I’m not actively looking to get out of ‘Game of Thrones’ shadow because it’s a glorious shadow to be in.

That is a very glass-half full way of looking at it.

FYi, O’Connor’s next project is starring in a TV show based on Anthony Horowitz’s very popular Alex Rider novels, a young adult series about a teenaged spy. O’Connor isn’t playing Alex, but rather Alex’s best friend Tom Harris. Watch your back, Tom. Or your front.

And finally, Jacob Anderson (aka Raleigh Ritchie, aka Grey Worm) is selling merch for his new album, Andy:

I like to think this is how Grey Worm worked through his pain after the end of Game of Thrones.
