What are our favorite Game of Thrones stars getting up to these days? Let’s pull back the curtain and take a peek while we wait for the show’s eighth and final season to premiere in April.

First up, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain) participated in the Man vs Glue challenge, which is what it sounds like. And in case it’s still unclear that is, it involves Björnsson, a real-life strongman, lifting really heavy things. Krazy Glue sponsors. Enjoy the show!

Björnsson is a very strong man. But can he use prodigious strength to pry apart lifting plates fused together by Krazy Glue?

He cannot. Glue wins! Glue-bowl get hype!

Wondering what Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen is doing with his time after Arya Stark slit Littlefinger’s throat in season 7? He’s chasing UFOs now. Gillen plays Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a scientist recruited by the United States government to debunk unexplained phenomena, on Project Blue Book, a new period drama on History premiering January 8.

Speaking with the Victoria Advocate, Gillan talked about his early interest in life out there in the stars. “I was always quite taken by Star Trek. It was a big show for me when I was a kid, and Close Encounters was a huge film for me when I was growing up. So you could say I didn’t have to be converted to get involved in this project.”

What’s interesting about it is that it is fact-based and science-based and history-based. This is a real character. It’s based on real events that happened in a very interesting era.

Naturally, Gillen also commenting on leaving Game of Thrones after being on the show for seven seasons. “That was quite a momentous release to just walk away from,” he said. “But that’s what I do. When I’m finished with a part, I just stop thinking about it. I literally just walk away. Take the jacket off and don’t look back.”

Real quick, we interrupt this post about what Game of Thrones stars are doing with their careers to bring you a picture of Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) as a wee lad.

With that blonde hair, he could looks more like a young Lannister than a Greyjoy.

Finally, Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) is headlining a new film called Hurricane, about a Polish fighter pilot who fought in World War II:

Jan Zumbach, Rheon’s character, and his pilot friends pose as Swiss watch salesmen in order to evade capture by the Nazis so they can join up with the Royal Air Force, but because they aren’t English enough, they aren’t trusted, and are relegated to bombing duty. When the RAF is depleted, the Polish pilots are finally allowed to use their skill to help win the war. It looks worth checking out!
