That makes sense…otherwise the NK was just waiting for a fluke to get him over the wall. I was thinking this was a huge plot hole but that would fill that hole.

I disagree about the hound "telling them where to go" and facilitating the dragon trap. 1) Jon had already sent the wildlings to Eastwatch because it was the closest to Hardhome, before he met the hound. 2) Jons company went to Wastwatch because it was the closest fort to Dragonstone island. 3) the hound didn't say anything about the arrowhead mountain until they were ranging north of the wall and he saw it in person and recognized it from his dream.

The way you tell the story it almost seems like the hound is like "hey we need to go here because I had this dream." This is true for the BwB but not for Jon, Jorah, Gendry, Tormund.

I don't think it's Jon's birth that Night King reacting to. I think it's Dany's birth he's reacting to. She's the Night king's opposite, the extreme of fire, and therefore in direct conflict with him. He wants her in order to correct the magical imbalance of the elements ice and fire that is causing conflict in the world. Together they can satisfy a pact that has long gone unfulfilled in Westeros. The pact of ice and fire.

Long ago a Targaryen princess was supposed to marry into the Stark family, this union would satisfy this pact as it was a union between ice and fire. It never happened. Rhaegar marrying Lyanna may look like a solution but it isn't as it was a Targaryen princess that was promised not a prince. Dany is a Targaryen princess so she can fulfil this pact. The problem is the only Stark remaining is Bran, who is disabled. Jon doesn't count because he is a Targaryen. So who's left? There is a theory the Night King is a Stark and if true then a union between Dany and the Night King would satisfy the pact. The Night King knows this which is why he wants Dany. They will go to the Gods Eye where the pact will be forged and the war will end. However it will require Dany's sacrifice in order to complete the union. It has to be the Night King because right after Hardhome Mel starts seeing snow in the flames as if the Night King saw "The Prince that was promise" or "Lightbringer" or "Azor Ahai" or whatever. Suddenly Mel was on Jon. And now the Hound of all people is able to not only see visions in the flames but tolerant looking at the flames. It's the Night King sending those visions and he probably brought Jon back to life for whatever plot twist he has!

I think it's Jon yeah that makes sense. for one reason only a child of ice and fire. Did it happen before that Targaryen married a stark. Because since that happened the 7 kingdoms went to war and everything changed even the wight walkers

Ok lol but then why are they bothering to portray him as a leader in the show? They're supposed to be aligned with the book ending and in the show the NK is definitely a big part of the story and it appears the end game.

Update. Danny and Jon actually got married while we didn't know it. They have a kid. Everyone beats the whotewalkers then Jamie and his sister betroth their kid to the rightful ruler which would be Jon and Danny's child.just to keep peace . Lol. Maybe?

People keep referencing Bran's vision of a dragon shadow over King's Landing as a portent of things still to be – maybe Dany, maybe the Knight King. But Bran can NOT see the future, only the past or the present. Hence, that vision has to be of things past and NOT of things to come.

I always like your theories. The problem is – GoT is a dumb ass regular TV show now.
So don't go looking for any stuff that's beneath the surface.
In the show – The NK will never be explained. No one cares. I mean, there are still people who don't understand who Jon is, even though it was spelled out for them.
GoT is now a dumb show for the "Real Housewives" audience.

In the books – we'll see if GRRM finishes them, but NK will definitely be flashed out there!
