  1. Forget about Robert bartheon the biggest and greatest Targaryen kilers is the Targaryens themselves. They killed each other in droves Dance of the dragons and the history og who is the rightfull heir or the king ending whit some Targryen killing their or family. Bet it would have been more Targaryens around if they had not killed themselves

  2. both aegon's sons were so unlike him. but very much like their moms. aenys was just like rhaenys and maegor has visenya written all over him. maegor may have been evil but he saved the targaryen dynasty from the weak ruling of his brother aenys.

  3. The "mad" nature of House Targaryen has been grossly exaggerated by fandom
& especially by the TV show, as have the brother sister unions – of
the 17 Targaryen kings, only 4 were born of a union of siblings. Only 3
Targaryens are ever really described as being "mad" – King Maegor,
Prince Aerion (son of Maekar) & of course King Aerys II.
Interestingly, no Targaryen female is ever mentioned as being "mad".

When madness does occur, it seems it has less to do with bad genetics
& more to do with the afflicted person actually taking on the
characteristics of a dragon, with obsession for power, violence &
    fire.

  4. King Maegor was a terrible and cruel tyrant. I do wonder, however, if he wasn't a necessary evil for the maintenance of Targaryen supremacy. Say what you want about him he did obliterate many threats and ushered a desire for peace that Jaeherys would use to build his Golden Age upon.

  5. Amazing video, thank you so much for this, i absolutely love the character of Maegor, hes probably my favorite Targaryen of all time when i think about it. I personally think he was a bit missunderstood 🙂
