Production is moving along on the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and the fellowship is growing. Just last week, we learned of eight new cast members heading to Middle-earth. Now, another octet approaches.

Here are all the newcomers that were just announced to be joining The Rings of Power cast:

You might recognize that last one from a certain Braavosi play in Game of Thrones. Kevin Eldon played Eddard Stark in the Braavos theater troupe that Arya watches during season 6, as well as a gold cloak in season 7.

A few more cast members:

Who are all these new Rings of Power cast members?

That’s quite a few new cast members joining The Rings of Power! But who exactly will they all play?

As of this writing, there have been practically no details revealed about either this spate of cast members or the previous eight that announced last week. The only actor whose role we know for sure is Sam Hazeldine, who will be replacing Joseph Mawle as the corrupted elf Adar.

However, there are a few notable figures we’re expecting to see in season 2, including dwarves and humans who bear some of the rings of power. The humans will go on to become Nazgûl, which should make for a pretty juicy plotline.

Then there’s the elf Cirdan, who showrunner Patrick McKay confirmed will be coming in season 2. Cirdan is one of the oldest elves in Middle-earth and an important figure in the mythos. “Cirdan will be a part of the adventure moving forward in Season 2,” McKay told Deadline. “We’ve cast a wonderful actor to play him that we will announce at some future date.” Perhaps he’s one of the actors above?

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 is currently in production in the UK. It is expected to release sometime in 2024 at the earliest.
