Aegon is alive. He's Jaqen H'hgar and he won't contest the throne from Jon Snow who is Rhaegar's other son because he serves the many faced God and therefore he can't be King.

Since we have learned that his father 'annulled' his marriage to his mother before his SUPPOSED death, this doesn't matter. An annulment makes him a bastard which makes Jon Snow the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne (think Henry the VIII and his daughter Mary (The Bloody)). While an annulment is only done when a marriage is not actually consummated, there must be a legal loophole in their reality, otherwise Rhaenys would not have been able to do it, Prince or no prince and Rhaenys would know that Jon's claim would be opposed based on the laws of the land, unless of course he was just STUPID.
