Game of Thrones wasn’t just the biggest show of the century, it was a huge family and a way of life for so many people for nearly a decade. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, something that not only the fans but the cast and the crew find hard to forget. Many of the cast and the crew members are still in touch with each other, as we have seen various photos of them reuniting at events across the globe. Actor Conleth Hill, who played the cunning Lord Varys, recalled one particularly humorous incident on the set of Game of Thrones involving his co-star Rory McCann, who is famous for playing The Hound.

In a recent interview with Radio Time, Hill revealed, “Of course, it was a small, vain price to pay for a wonderful role, but when they first shaved my hair off, I went, ‘Oh God!’ because I’d never done it before.”

He added, “I remember Rory McCann [who played the Hound], saying, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I replied, ‘I’ve sold my soul to HBO.’ Rory replied, ‘Shut up and think of your pension!’”

Earlier in James Hibberd’s book Fire Cannot Kill A Dragon, Hill had previously stated he was very depressed over shaving his head for the role of Lord Varys. Do you think Varys would have looked better with Hill’s silver locks? Tell us in the comments below!
