House of The Dragon director Greg Yaitanes, who recently appeared on Entertainment Weekly’s West of Westeros podcast, recalled one such interesting incident from the season 1 finale. He said that the twin actors playing Erryk and Arryk Cargyll, Luke and Elliott Tittensor, were swapped midway through the shoot as one of them got COVID.
Yaitanes recalled, “There’s that scene, that big scene where Corlys [Steve Toussaint] comes down and they’re putting the markers on the table and the messenger comes in. It was a shot over two days and then one [of the brothers] got COVID. [Elliott] got COVID, so we swapped him out with his brother.”
