HBO has been expanding the Martinverse, planning spinoffs as a long-term strategy even before Game of Thrones concluded. Although some projects have been discontinued, others are in various stages of development. The prequel series based on George R.R. Martin‘s Dunk & Egg novels is underway, with a significant new cast member recently announced.

Steve Wall joins A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as Leo ‘Longthorn’ Tyrell

Following an initial glimpse of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, further details about the series have emerged. A report from Redanian Intelligence reveals that Steve Wall, known for The Witcher, has been cast as Leo Tyrell, also known as Leo Longthorn, a highly esteemed member of the Tyrell family in Westeros’ history. He was involved in the First Blackfyre Rebellion and played a significant role in the Ashford tourney depicted in The Hedge Knight.

Seven cast members were previously announced

As the premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms approaches, the cast continues to expand. Edward Ashley from Masters of the Air, Henry Ashton from A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Youssef Kerkour of House of Gucci fame; Daniel Monks of Kaos; Shaun Thomas from How To Have Sex, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor known for Avengers: Infinity War, and Danny Webb from The Regime and The Dig will be joining the ensemble.
