Game of Thrones season 7 is over and we’re having withdrawals. It really hurt when we turned on the TV this past Sunday at eight only to remember that there were only seven episodes this year.
The Long Night until season 8 is dark and full of terrors, but thanks to YouTuber The videos are well-edited and set to superbly chosen soundtracks. Some are more than a little chills-inducing.
The first video is titled “Oathbreaker,” which tells the story of Jaime Lannister.
Next up: Thoros of Myr. Rest in peace, Thoros — you wore a topknot better than anyone in the Seven Kingdoms.
Garo Studios also put together a retrospective for Benjen Stark, the boy who would become the First Ranger of the Night’s Watch, Coldhands, and watch over his family even after death. He served his purpose and did it well.
Finally, we have Jon Snow, who we now know is actually Aegon Targaryen, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. “The Targaryen Wolf” is a tribute to the man, the myth, the hair.
The 998th Lord Commander of the Knights Watch, Zombie, King in the North, and potentially the ruler of all seven kingdoms? Jon did pretty well for a not-really bastard.
But will he ever actually want to embrace his birthright? We will have to wait until season 8 to find out. #WaitFor8
