This ‘Game of Thrones’ Fan Theory Points to Tyrion Losing His Tongue.
The final season of Game of Thrones is next — six more episodes to decide the fates of dozens of major characters fans have known for many years. It’s an emotional thing for many. And those same fans should know Thrones is no place for the weak. Not only will some of our beloved characters die in the coming Great War, they will die horribly. The past is prologue on the show, perhaps more than on any other. And that is why Tyrion Lannister may lose his tongue.

More than any other trait, Tyrion Lannister’s strength is his intellect. As a dwarf, he was always physically overmatched so he needed another defense. His words became his weapons. Tyrion has survived by outsmarting everyone around him, and, with some luck, he’s landed at the side of Daenerys Targaryen as her Hand of the Queen. It’s both a strong and precarious position. Men in seats of power risk losing them to violence.
