And the new images from Game of Thrones season 7 continue. Today, Time released a photo from a scene likely to occur early in the season: Daenerys and crew arriving in Westeros for the first time.
Well, don’t they all look cozy?
I’ll be honest: the image looks a little busy, like the producers got it into their heads that they had to include Dany AND Tyrion AND Missandei AND Varys AND the dragons AND the fleet all in one shot or it wouldn’t work. Still, seeing it in motion can make a big difference.
The shot clearly mirrors one of the final images from season 6, where the same handful of people stood on the prow of a ship leaving the Bay of Dragons, looking westward.
It doesn’t look quite as epic when they’re in a teeny little rowboat, though.
If I had to guess, I’d say this shot leads directly into this one, where Dany and her crew look up at the castle on Dragonstone, her new home base.
Between this and other shots, we’re getting a good idea of what Dany’s landing in Westeros will look like.

We’ll see it all happen in real time when season 7 premieres on July 16.
