In Game of Thrones, there were a number of noteworthy antagonists. Whether it was the ruthless Night King, the savage Ramsey Bolton, or the pure evil Cersei Lannister, we could not help but detest them all. But one character in particular made us genuinely hate him. Jack Gleeson played Joffrey Baratheon, one of the most notorious characters on the show. Even Tom Glynn-Carney hates Aegon II’s comparisons with him.

Tom Glynn-Carney didn’t want comparisons with Joffrey

As of now, Tom Glynn-Carney’s Aegon II is perhaps one of the most despicable characters in House of the Dragon. In a recent interview with Vulture, he admitted he wanted to portray Aegon in a different light than Joffrey. He said:

“I didn’t want that. My aim this time was to try and make someone so unrelatable relatable. When you look at him and go, ‘He’s just a lunatic and he’s unhinged and he’s dangerous and he’s toxic,’ you fall into a trap where you’re playing that and using it as a sort of template. I think he’s way more layered.”

Joffrey Baratheon was once voted the most hated character in TV history

A well-known entertainment website recently conducted a survey to find out which TV character viewers believed was the worst. Surprisingly, Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones topped the list despite having just four seasons. His nasty, vicious, and conceited demeanor garnered over 6500 votes. In the Game of Thrones fanbase, his passing in Season 4 Episode 2 was arguably one of the most widely celebrated deaths.
