There's actually a large amount of supporting evidence for the Dornish master plan. Primarily Oberyn if you follow his biography and see the connections tying him to both Doran and Oldtown via Marwyn. The potential to meet Marwyn early in his life happened just before he went off learning poisons, combat, magic etc then he settled down after Ellia was killed. You'd think it'd be the opposite if he was bent on revenge for her death. It actually shows more support for a long term master plan. Longer than even the time since Ellia died.

My only problem with the theory of Jon Snow's parents is why wouldn't Ned at least tell his wife Catelyn Stark? I understand Ned had to keep Jon's identity top secret but he trusted Catelyn and she hated Jon because she thought he was the result of Ned cheating on her. I don't get why he wouldn't let Catelyn know to give her some peace of mind
If Jon where Rheagars child he would have white hair. The whole deal with Joffrey not being Robert's is that his line had dark hair, same with the Targaryens, even their bastards have the white hair from their ancient Valaryian blood. If GRRM makes Jon a Targaryen then he will be spitting in the face of the entirety of the Lord he created.
