UNFORGIVEN and DESPERADO aren't bar room brawls. They're shootouts that happen to take place in saloons.
A brawl should never involve guns. Until, maybe, the very end. That's my rule, that I just made up, so there.
But seriously, a brawl should be a fairly light hearted bit of action apart from the major gunplay in a film.
I agree with people who pointed out BLAZING SADDLES (1975). I'd throw in THE QUIET MAN (1952), in which the fight takes place over several miles of Irish countryside, but they do take a break for a pint at the pub.
And the mud pit fight in MCCLINTOCK!(1963), which, while not in a saloon has the right spirit.
And…oh so many more.
Oh yeah, the pub fight in BRANNIGAN (1975).
Lots of John Wayne here because I once heard that he & Yakima Canutt invented the barroom brawl. It's probably BS, but it's a great story.
cowboys and aliens hah … lego…… what about Trinity I & II with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer ? I am not even from America and I know many more and have a better taste than that ..sheesh .

How can you leave off the Saloon Brawl in the Great Race with Larry Storch and Tony Curtis, it's the Best ever!
