  1. I clicked to this movie expect to see some plain thriller movie on netflix as always. Turned out to be one of a mindfucked psychological movie and possibly the scariest movie i've seen this year.

  2. Personally for what it was i thought it was one of the better movie version of a Steven King novel, not that i've read the book but it was simple and worked. Did what it said on the tin as they say. Ending was daft tho IMO

  3. It was a good movie…but I was expecting something more…like it builds and builds but never really delivers. Again, it was not bad at all…I just don't think it was as amazing as many people thinks. Enjoyable movie but for me it wasn't mind-blowing.

  4. Better than the book?!?!? WHO says that? Gerald's Game is a great adaptation, but it's not even CLOSE to being better than the book. Mostly because of the ending, which works FAR better in the novel.
Yeah, you guys have it completely backwards. The story is MORE gripping in the novel, because you are inside of Jessie's head. The "ghost Gerald" and "ghost Jessie" did an admirable job of capturing her inner monologue, but you just can't get that perspective in a movie. Whatever "critics" you are referring to need to read the book again.
