His sword is the Sword of the Morning, and it is basically as indestructible as Valyrian Steel in ASOIAF.
It's the sword of the dawn, made out of a meteorite and has similar properties to valyrian steel in terms of sharpness
But Sir Arthur Dane had a valyrian Steel longsword in his right hand Which is known to cut Steel armor
Hello.
Which movies have fights that look like real fights?
The show runners made Arthur Dane have two swords because (and I quote) "it would be hard to show Arthur Danes almost supernatural ability with a sword with only one sword"
it was ok
He's the motherfucking sword of the motherfucking morning…do you not understand? The man and the sword are one. The greatest swordsman armed with a sword forged from a fallen star which probably makes valyrian steel look like a cheap ginsu knife. Get the fuck out of here with your bullshit!!!!…jk.
Did you seriously say "Bolognaise sources" without noticing?
I think Arthur didn't want to kill Ned, here is quite interesting Theory…

You forget at some points that Arthur Dayne wields Dawn, which is compared to Valryian Steel! Valryian steel is said to be able to slice through full plate armor, and Dawn is said to be as sharp as one of those swords, whilst also being strangely light. (How light is never really stated, but it is lighter than most longswords)
Helmets are hugely important. Also difficult to tell people aport when filming from far away. Also hard to get facial expressions. So, sorry helmets.
to be fair i think the punctures through the plate is with his Magic Sword "Dawn"…
This sword is magic, so forget it. And he didn't want to kill stark, watch the show
Armor on the arms would have ruined the fight for Arthur because he couldn't move as fast and would be slaughtered because of it
his sword is basically a magic sword author's sword that is it is sharper and stronger then other swords
He sticks sword in ground, then pulls it from belt?
Actually we see him stabbing through 6 layers of armor front and back, It is very unbelievable, unless you are the hound or the mountain and even then it would be so unlikely.
Just a point about the stabbing into armour thing: I think he is just that good a swordsman that he can stab through the gaps in the shirts of plate armour. It's bloody hard to hit of course but well he is the greatest swordsman in the history of Westeros.
Could you, or have you made a video list of the movie fights you've thought were realistic?
I like how when they circle him he moves to get them all in front
Isn't Jaime Lannister supposed to look cack handed with a sword? He lost his right hand, and is having to learn to use his left.
if it was a valerian steel sword the sticking it in the ground argument is pointless, you dont need to sharpen valerian steel, it always keeps it's edge.
But does anyone spend time sharpening a sword of Valaryan steel or whatever meteorite dawn was made from?
So, your saying that depictions of dual welding are bologna.
I have a question now so much to the actual fighting, but why is it that people hold onto the sword with their LEFT hand when it's still sheathed to be 'on guard'? Since most people were right-handed, shouldn't their right hand be on the pommel so they can draw right away if needed? At 7:39 Howland and Eddark and the person on the right are all carrying with their LEFT hand. The person on the far left is the only person ready with his actual sword hand.
BUT WHAT ABOUT 3 SWORDS?!?!?!?!?
It is awesome in comparison to he overwhelming majority of fantasy shows, but it is rubbish compared to what Andorea Omoluc does.
This lesson teaches an Extremely important Point for all martial artists. PROTECT YOU HEAD! If you get stabbed in the gut, you might go septic. If you get stabbed in the heart, you at very least die completely. If you get stabbed, or severely hit, in the head, you may die in ways that don't deserve a victory to justify.
Remember kids, only you can prevent brain damage!
