The Hollywood rumour mill has gone into overdrive over claims Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer – Ross and Rachel from Friends – are dating in real life.
An insider told how the recent reunion, in which they both admitted a crush on each other, had stirred up feelings.
While David’s people have denied the story, fans of the sitcom are praying their dreams have finally come true.
And, as Daily Star reveals, plenty of other on-screen TV lovers have become real-life couples – with mixed results.
With those going the distance (the HITs) and those calling it quits (the SPLITs), here are some iconic real life TV couples – and whether they lasted.
Kit Harington and Rose Leslie – Game of Thrones – HIT!
This pair met on Game of Thrones in 2011 when he was brooding Jon Snow and she was wildling Ygritte.
After a steamy cave sex scene, the couple were official, with Kit later admitting he fell for Rose during those long months filming in Iceland.
They made it red carpet official in April 2016 and wed in June 2018, and welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in February this year.
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer – True Blood – HIT!
They might not have seemed an obvious couple – Anna, who won an Oscar aged 11, and Stephen, a West Ham-supporting Essex lad, but it was love at first bite when they met on steamy vampire show True Blood.
Stephen admitted he knew within three days of filming that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Anna and she felt the same.
The pair wed in 2010 – the same year Anna revealed she was bisexual – and had twins Charlie and Poppy in 2012.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher – That ’70s Show – HIT!
They met as boyfriend and girlfriend Jackie Burkhart and Michael Kelso on That 70s Show back in 1998 when Mila was 14 and Ashton 20.
When they snogged on screen, it was Mila’s first ever kiss and she admitted having a huge crush on her co-star.
But it actually took them 14 years to get together.
In the meantime Ashton wed Demi Moore in 2005, while Mila dated Macaulay Culkin.
By 2012 they were both single and started dating, getting married in 2015. The pair have two children.
Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton – Stranger Things – HIT!
American Natalia and Leeds-born Charlie had a stranger fling when they hooked up on the spooky Netflix smash in 2016 as teens Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers.
Stranger Things co-creator Matt Duffer later revealed the attraction was obvious, saying: “That first audition, we did a chemistry read and sparks were flying.”
With the show back for a fourth season next year, the pair are still going strong.
Joe Thomas and Hannah Tointon – The Inbetweeners – HIT!
The couple met on the set of The Inbetweeners when Hannah – who is the younger sister of fellow actress Kara – played Tara Brown, the short-lived girlfriend of Joe’s character Simon Cooper.
One awkward scene saw Simon’s failed attempt at sex end with him manically hitting his private parts.
But romance still managed to blossom in real life and they became engaged at the start of 2017 after seven years of dating.
Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley – Wuthering Heights – HIT!
When Tom first met now-wife Charlotte in 2009, he already had a divorce under his belt, had just come out of a long-term relationship and had a son.
In contrast Charlotte was straight out of drama school when she played Cathy to his Heathcliff.
But they hit it off straight away and were engaged by the summer of 2010, tying the knot in 2014.
They now have a daughter aged five and a two-year-old son.
Keeley Hawes and Matthew Macfadyen – Spooks – HIT!
The pair met on the set of spy drama Spooks in 2002, while Keeley was married to first husband Spencer McCallum.
“Matthew just came straight out with it and said, ‘I love you,’ in the rain one day. I thought, ‘Oh dear, here we go’,” she later recalled.
She left Spencer after just eight weeks of marriage and wed Matthew in 2004 while seven months pregnant.
They have been together ever since and have two children, Maggie and Ralph.
Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson – Dawson’s Creek – SPLIT!
As tortured teens Joey Potter and Pacey Witter in angsty teen drama Dawson’s Creek, which ran between 1998 and 2003, fans were desperate for the screen couple to get together.
But the real stars fell in love before their characters did.
Katie and Joshua dated from 1998 to 1999 but remained pals when they split – handy for when Joey and Pacey got it on.
Katie went on to marry and divorce Tom Cruise while Joshua is married to Brit actress Jodie Turner-Smith.
Anne-Marie Duff and James McAvoy – Shameless – SPLIT!
Following the dysfunctional Gallagher family, Shameless launched in 2004 with Anne-Marie as eldest daughter Fiona.
James was her love interest Steve.
Finding real-life love away from the Chatsworth estate, the couple married in a quiet ceremony in 2006 and went on to have son Brendan in 2010.
They split in 2016 after 10 years of marriage and have kept tight-lipped about the reasons why – but proved they were still friends when starring together in BBC show His Dark Materials.
Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody – The OC – SPLIT!
Fans rooted for geeky Seth Cohen and popular Summer Roberts to get together in this glossy teen drama – and were thrilled when the couple hooked up in real life.
The show ran between 2003 and 2007 and they were dating off-screen until 2006 but grew apart.
They remain friends and Adam is married to Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester while Rachel dated Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen for 10 years but is currently single.
