Lots of great games are shallow at first glance. Street Fighter is shallow. Counter Strike is shallow. Mario is shallow. But their FUN.
Also, Minecraft is being updated and expanded on to this day. Not to mention user made mods and texture packs.

Actually, that's not true. Several of them all play Minecraft, but the difference is that they don't show content of the game on their channel, because it turns their channel into a Minecraft channel as soon as they do.
Look at the Yogscast, they used to do only WoW but now they're primarily known for Minecraft. Totalbiscuit himself said he liked minecraft but won't post videos of it. It's a good game. It's the internet that's overrated to all hell.

well If you think befor you speak we will be getting somewhere instead of getting no where. Minecraft to me is not even a game anymore but my own learning tool I use to play minecraft. I am older then that and hey there is nothing worng with being young they are even more crative then us.
This sees what you know about games. lol no really what a noob.. Minecraft is not for everyone, so you should go play your stupid story based games and leave the creative gameplay alone. Minecraft is a great game, but I don't have pick favorites. On the other hand, saying Minecraft does not have depth it's because your crative side is not in depth. 🙂

Its not for all just people that like being creative. But Its a good learning tool for people who want to make games.
Well Minecraft is a sandbox game and if you are not so creative its not for you. there are many thing you can do to it. minecraft is not shallow in fact it has way more things then most games have. Notch sent out minecraft when it was still in the making and and was built around expanding. this is bad criticisms with out any real facts. minecraft is more then a game and became a learning tool. for others, and this is comming from indie.
