  1. I just got almost halfway thru book 3 man I love these books!!! So much more info then the show lol it's like watching it all over again not knowing what's going to happen

  2. Thank you for your thorough analysis of the chapters. There are always subtleties I missed, such as in this case the link between weirwood and death, or the game changer the non-capture of Tyrion would have been to Ned's life, with regards to Tyrion's insight.

  3. The use weirwood for the moon doors in the Vale is one of two references I noted .
The second is that the throne of the Arryns is a seat carved of weirwood.

I think this is also where the voices in Sweetrobin's head are derived from as well.

  4. I love the inner dialog & thoughts/ memories you get in the book chapters that the show can't easily convey unfortunately. You really get a sense of who Tyrion is during this entire ordeal.

  5. I never did catch the "tongue losing" references before!
Come to think of it, Theon lost his dick, Jamie lost his hand, Jon lost his life, Tyrion losing his tongue would go with the theme of the men of the story losing some physical representation of what made them tick and was a core element of their identity and rising again, ahem, "harder and stronger".

  6. Gemma,
I disagree with you thinking Catelyn is not stupid. I think she is incredibly stupid and The Order of the Green Hand even made a brilliant 4 part series on how stupid she is.

  7. Gemma๐Ÿค— I will im you on FB today. I been researching a Lot on all the stones minerals Woods animals Everything in ASOIAF! The magical properties is what I looking at. I think I may have some stuff to help with yours. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜˜ Look for my im.

  8. Them sky cells give me nightmares! Screw those I would rather be Any other dungeon than there. I wonder if he heard the singing there also. I don't think it was the same singer that is Lysa pet. I wonder though what is being heard due to the weirwood and marble. Now then as far as Tyrion. Hahaha one of my favorite moments. I love that he doesn't back down is a total smartass and still walks away. You can't hide from the truth. This was my One moment I Had a sliver of hope Catelyn might do the right thing. Of course she is still a Tully dumbass. She could have ended and fixed Everything right then. Oh I think Lysa champion on purpose. Why not a Better one like Royce or Corbray? No one stood cuz they didn't want the Lannisters wrath on the Eryrie! They wanted Tyrion to win and walk really. And Catelyn still sucks..

  9. how exactly has tyrion come close to figuring out petyr's conspiracy? Everytime he ponders this he just thinks that he must have a grand plan, and that he is sly, hungry and deceiving, that he is a man that can't be trusted.
They also have a weirwood throne, but yeah, the transportation up there must have been borderline impossible. Something is definitely behind that, the eyrie is so cool, so many mysteries.

  10. Call me gross but I love Tyrion's more filthy show confession – my favourite part has to be the time he masturbated into the turtle stew which Cersei ate (or at least he hope she ate it).
