It’s been said that everything we need to know about where this story is going is hidden in the text of the first book. So here goes – an in-depth exploration of a Game of Thrones chapter-by-chapter, let’s see what we can find!

Currently rereading the books now and I have a question, why does Jon's 15th birthday occur before Danys 14th in the books if Dany was conceived just after the Trident then their DOB would be closer, so was Fantastic born later than we think or was Jon born sooner?
While most utubers scramble for new material to make videos, your idea is simple yet very smart. By helping people understand the material we've already been given, you've made some really good videos. Thankfully there's still a few utubers out there producing content that's entertaining. If we could just get the "show only" fans to read the books. Those poor people don't even know much they've missed out on. Keep them coming 😉
One of my favorite chapters
No, now it ends.
thank you, yet another update, you spoil us, dear lady. What you said about Cersei was true here, her success with the drugged wine made her over confident later. Despite what she says many times, she is not as cunning as her father. Tywin was a master manipulator, just look at the Red Wedding. The Red Wedding was evil, and so carefully manipulated, leaving the Lannisters all but blameless (while Houses Bolton and Frey took all the risk and blame) with the sole goal of bringing down House Stark, even more so in the books with the Westerlings playing such a big part in bringing Robb down. Cersei got lucky with the success against Robert, but that luck would run out when she tried to manipulate the Faith and the High Sparrow.
Cersei is continually described as cold, and also will have her pale, white throat choked. Will she be the Night's Queen? Killed via miscarriage, and resurrected by the Night King because he finds her to be incredibly beautiful, even in death? Jaime may kill WW Cersei.
If only Robert had hit her harder 🙁
Gemma, I believe you're of the group that believes in rlj, which would follow the traditional tower of joy most closely. Do you think ned not being able to remember his friends faces, while remembering the kingguard's faces allude to them not dying, at least in the way we're lead to believe?
Can't help wondering if things would have gone differently if Ned had been able to warn Robert of the assassination plot. Quite convenient that he was kept in a drugged stupor & Cersai made sure to be there with Robert to confront Ned when he woke up. Robert being Robert he probably would have gone hunting anyway…
Cersei always had an exaggerated opinion of what she was capable of, and that was due to her belief that she was her father's daughter in terms of her intellect and her cunning when it was far from the truth. The show has Tywin flat out tell her that she's not as smart as she believes, and it's true in that she doesn't think ahead as to where her actions will lead. Tywin did horrible things, but he had the foresight to (usually) anticipate the consequences of his actions. Cersei is more self-centered and only sees her actions as far as how it will benefit her in the short term. The show battle at the tower of joy is more likely going to play out different if they reveal more of what happened in the books, though I suspect the core of it will stay the same. The chapter opens with Ned knowing the dream he was having was no stranger to him so while milk of the poppy might of effected things a bit I don't think were going to be in for a shock to find out nothing happened at the tower of joy. I don't buy into Arthur Dayne being alive and in hiding with some secret Targaryen, or being Qhorin Halfhand (We have enough characters in the books already pretending to be someone else) It's more likely that the deaths of the Kingsguard and his companions at the Tower of Joy haunt Ned because the Kingsguard were men he held no ill will towards and were only their due to their oaths (or due to being accomplices in Rhaegar's plans but that's another story) and they had to die for it. It fits into the anti-war theme of the story in that war often finds people on opposing sides who respect each other and often hold no personal animosity towards the other but due to events beyond their control they must now fight each other, where as in peace they might of been good friends. Then again this is GRRM who's crafting this story so we could all be totally wrong with our guesses when and if he sheds more light on the events that preceded ASOIAF.
I'm still angry that Arthur Dayne had two swords in the show.
another great chapter and review
I don't think Ned is lying in this chapter, but I don't believe that we should take his dreams as though it happened in real life, either. Milk of the Poppy has a reputation of screwing up events in dreams & waking from them, which is where his POV is coming from. I don't think Ned has any special powers that has him able to fight the effects of Milk of the Poppy that everyone else has when drinking it. He knows events that happened in real life, but when he's coming out of this dream, he messes it up. Which messes us up – as a reader. "In the dream they were only shadows, grey wraiths on horses made of mist." – Ned says of his *friends*.
Greatest flashback ever….
This is a fabulous series. Brava!

I have sympathy for Robert. Yes, he is stupid but that’s no crime. His problem wasn’t that he was stupid or even that he was violent, and abusive. I think his problem was that in a real way losing Lyanna- her abduction, supposed year long rapes, and the war was incredibly traumatic for him. He has ptsd. And what tortured him most was the delusion that Lyanna loved and was waiting for him to save her. No wonder no other woman can compare, the constant whoring of young women- he was trying to recapture any kind of joy. I think I’m a real sense Robert was the standard hero trope and reveals how much it’s broken. Maybe this is obvious to everyone- but Robert makes me sad- I think if he had known the truth about Lyanna he wouldn’t have spent his life worshiping a woman who apparently was disgusted by him.
I’m just wondering tin hat theory on Ned stark did he have any involvement with daenerys as a baby to send her away? Safely from Robert
Another great video!!!! They brighten the work day
Cersei's reference to "she should be the one in armor" is another foreshadowing , I believe, that she will actually be in armor with her troops in season 8. I think after she miscarriages she will lead her army North in armor (such as Lady Mormont and Sansa did during the BOTB) I believe she will want to witness the beginning of the betrayal of her troops to Jon/Dany, have her men grab Sansa and possibly Tyrion and then travel back to KL with her body guard the Mountain.
Awesome chapter!
Do you think there is any chance we will find out that Jon was actually crowned King at his birth upon the knowledge of his father's death? I just thought it might have been a possibility since Viserys was crowned King by his mother on Dragonstone once the Mad King and Rhaegar's death and children's death was known. Does that also imply that the Queen was unaware of Lyana's pregnancy? Maybe Rhaegar kept her pregnancy a secret because of his belief of Jon/Aegon being TPTWP. Knowing how important the role of TPTWP prophesied would be for the future war to come. Basically trying to keep his birth a secret from all who may try to harm him (not just Robert). Knowing that he MUST survive for the future.
Excellent! 💕💕💕
I love the theory of Cercei NQ…fit to her cold icy character and her mad ego
Jon is Dannys (AA)Lightbringer and Viserion her kid is her nissa nissa..S7E6 proved that.Awesome video Sweet cinnamon Gemma..I love you.

Jon Snow – Light Bringer
Rhaegar – Azor Ahai
Lyanna – Nissa
Woohoo!
There are definitely hints about Jon snow’s heritage, but I watched the show first and already knew, so I couldn’t say if i’d’ve figured it out already
Swords are just swords in the show….but the swords in the books are legendary swords with mthyical properties.
