just for the record. If i was bishop heahmund i would fear more the man that would given me the knife just like that 1:38 , than the man who wouldnt. I know he doesnt fear anyone and shit , but just saying 😛

Heahmund supposedly spread Christianity to the vikings. Before him, the vikings often thought Christian god was weak. It is his strength that the vikings accepted and then converted to Christian. Less peaceful type though. They are still Vikings.

This was a VERY weird scene..One of the lesser impressive ones….Not because of the actors(they did great, as always), but because of the people around them. First they yell for his death etc etc. Then he kills one of there own & then they chear his name. I get it, they have done that before, viking culture etc. But this is a christian they cheer? Just before they wanted his blood & hated him for being a christian!
Why did the writers not let them stay silent or like they are confused for Ivars desition? A christian joining there army? Would they not like be a little offended maybe? Then we could have more awesome scenes with Heahmund, who has to constantly prove himself to the vikings who will bully him & give him crap. Now they just accept him? It just totally overshadowed everything else to me, in this scene. Really weird….
Maybe am just overlooking it..It just seemed very weird to me:)

2:19 I was genuinely terrified at Heahmund’s expression the first time watching this. Dude may be as crazy as Ivar.
