The first round of our Game of Thrones March Madness tournament is in the books, and 32 characters have been sent home. Before we get to the second round, let’s take a look at a few of last week’s throw-downs.

CleganeBowl might have been the most anticipated matchup of the first round, but it did not live up to the hype. Sandor “the Hound” Clegane soundly smashed his elder brother Gregor “the Mountain” with 97% of the votes. Sorry, FrankenMountain.

Round 1 had two razor thin victories, as well as two minor upsets. Hodor and Margaery Tyrell went down to the wire, but  Margaery pulled out the win. Likewise, Theon Greyjoy and Shireen Baratheon were locked in a pitched battle, but Greyjoy emerged victorious.

As for upsets, Grey Worm sent the Night King packing in round one’s biggest surprise; we can only hope its that easy in season 8. On the opposite side of the bracket, Grey Worm’s boo, Missandei took out another villain, as Joffrey Baratheon went down to Dany’s bff.

After close calls for several favorites, Round Two does not get any easier. One particularly painful matchup pits lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte against each other, fan favorite Brienne of Tarth takes on Littlefinger, last year’s champion, in what could end up a very close call. Find the complete round 2 bracket below.

As usual, use whatever criteria you want. This is NOT about who would win in a fight, unless you want it to be. Pick your favorites!

For reference, we’ve added each character’s seeding next to their name. We’ve also fixed some issues with polls not showing up on the Winter is Coming mobile app. If you’re having trouble viewing the polls, let us know and we’ll get on it.

Voting for this round lasts only two days — the polls will close tomorrow, Sunday, March 18 at 10:00 p.m. CST. So rally the realm and get your vote in!
