It’s time for a good old-fashioned trailer party! There’s always new stuff to watch just around the corner; here’s some of it.
First, Netflix just dropped a trailer for the sixth and final season of Lucifer, which features the title character (Tom Ellis) adjusting to his new role as God (a lot happened in season 5). And naturally there’s an apocalypse to avert:

Moving on, check out the trailer for the third season of Doom Patrol, which is coming to HBO Max next month. The DC heroes in The Suicide Squad are mismatched, but they’ve got nothing on the “band of superpower freaks” from Doom Patrol. The show itself is deeply weird and has always seemed on the verge of cancellation, but its cult following (and a few Emmy nominations) have brought it back for a new season that looks as trippy and strange as ever:

Doom Patrol reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of Super Heroes: Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) and Cyborg aka Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), all led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton). Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them.
Season three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission, if only she could remember it.

Next up, we’ve got a pair of Netflix creep shows for you. The first is The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an animated movie that takes place years before the events of The Witcher proper, starring Geralt mentor Vesemir as a young witcher who looks like he’s really enjoying life between killing monsters:
Vesemir is voiced by Theo James. In the upcoming second season of the live-action show, an older Vesemir will be played by Kim Bodnia. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf drops on Netflix on August 23.
Finally, check out this teaser trailer for Midnight Mass, a new spooky TV show from the people behind The Haunting of Hill House. I don’t quite know what it’s about, but it has their grim style all over it:
