So it looks like Rhaenyra will go through with marrying Laenor Velaryon, the son of Corlys Velaryon the Sea Snake. Of course, this being Westeros, the wedding is not without its hiccups.
Meanwhile, Otto Hightower is leaning harder than ever on his daughter Alicent Hightower to convince her husband King Visery to name their son Aegon as heir in place of Rhaenyra. Otto may be out of a job, but he’s as determined as ever to follow through on his goals. By the by, “we light the way” are the words of House Hightower.
Finally, Daemon is in some nondescript mountainous region. Might he actually have returned to the Vale and his lady wife Rhea Royce like his brother told him to? I guess it would fit with his modus operandi of never doing what you expect.
House of the Dragon Episode 5 will air next Sunday, September 18 on HBO and HBO Max.
