Tim Burton has finally fulfilled his destiny and made an Addams Family TV show for Netflix. Called Wednesday, it will focus on the titular Addams family daughter, played by Jenna Ortega.

The deal with The Addams Family is that they’re all creepy and ooky and spooky and they enjoy things like murder and torture and this makes the squares around them uncomfortable. That basic premise has proved extremely enduring over the decades. We’ll see whether Wednesday gives the family yet another lease on life when it drops later this year. Until then, check out the trailer:

Oh, and the snapping, we can’t forget the snapping. Wednesday also stars Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Wednesday’s parents Gomez and Morticia, as well as Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie as the principle of Wednesday’s creepy new school. Between this and her role as Lucifer in The Sandman, Christie is becoming a Netflix darling. I approve.

Watch the trailer for The Vampire Academy on Peacock

Sticking with high school horror shows, here’s a trailer for The Vampire Academy, Peacock’s upcoming adaptation of Richelle Mead’s YA fantasy novels:

The first four episodes of The Vampire Academy drop on Peacock on September 15.

Finally, in the interest of making this trailer round-up a three-fer, enjoy one last trailer before She-Hulk before it premieres on Disney+ tomorrow:

It’s not about monsters in a high school, but it’s about superheroes in a courtroom and that’s close enough.
