The final season of Game of Thrones is around the corner, and everyone is getting ready. Chicago bar Replay Lincoln Park may be going a bit further than most. Theyâve outfitted the place with a kingâs ransom of Game of Thrones props, maps and accoutrements. FanSided happens to be located in Chicago, so we thought weâd swing by and have a look:
If I remember one thing from the experience, itâs that someone thought to put a dictionary next to the cardboard cutout of Davos Seaworth. They do their research here. And the drinks went down smooth.
The Replay pop-up bar is open for a number of weeks yet. If youâre so inclined, itâs located at 2833 N Sheffield Ave. With all the elaborate set dressing, there will be no better place to watch the final six episodes of the show; the vibe will doubtlessly be electric, and not just because thereâs alcohol involved. The Replay honestly put more effort into the place than I was expecting. I thought maybe thereâd be a room in the back with a few house banners on the wall, but from the Iron Throne to the Tyrell garden to the bar fashioned to look like the Wall, they went all out on this.
And if Replay is just too jam-packed, you can always consider taking in season 8 at the Burlington Bar, which is also known for its Game of Thrones watch parties.
