Actor Alfie Allen has become a familiar face to Game Of Thrones fans through his role as Theon Greyjoy.
The character has been a fixture on the HBO show since 2011, having appeared in all eight seasons, from 2011 episode Winter Is Coming – where is was introduced as the hostage and ward of Lord Eddard Stark (Sean Bean).
Alfie comes from a pretty famous showbiz family, of course, being the son of of actor Keith Allen – but what else do we know about him, and what lies ahead for him after Game Of Thrones?
Here’s what you need to know.
What else has Alfie Allen been in apart from Game Of Thrones?
The 32-year-old London born actor made his first professional appearance in 1998 in Channel 4 comedy You Are Here, which was co-written by Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
His other TV appearances include an episode of Spaced in 1999, as well as 2005’s Jericho and The Golden Hour.
Casualty fans might recognise Alfie as Nobby Clark, a character in the throwback three-parter Casualty 1907, while more recently he’s appeared in Close To The Enemy, as well as taking part in History Channel documentary Football: A Brief History.
On the big screen Alfie appeared as a child actor in 1998’s Elizabeth, which was produced by his mother, Alison Owen, while other film appearances include Sixty Six, Atonement, The Other Boleyn Girl, Plastic, John Wick and The Predator.
Alfie was also seen in Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London, which was directed by his uncle Kevin Allen.
How is Alfie Allen related to Lily Allen?
Alfie is the older brother of the singer – and her 2006 song Alfie is all about him.
The track, which appears on her debut album Alright, Still, and was released as a double A-side with Shame For You in 2007, sees Lily criticising her brother for what she claims is his lazy behaviour.
She later said: ‘At first he was really upset about it because he thought that I was just pointing out all of his bad points and attacking him.
‘I thought he’d be really, really happy because it proved to him how much I loved him, that I care about him, and I want him to do something with his life.’
Alfie, meanwhile, said of the track: I thought it was funny, but only if it didn’t go on the album. Then it went on the album and I thought, “As long as it doesn’t come out as a single.” Then it did…but it’s cool, not many people have a song written about them.’
When is Game Of Thrones next on?
The Long Night airs on Sky Atlantic on Monday night at 9pm, while episode four is on Sky Atlantic on Monday 6 May at 2am and again at 9pm.
