Can't wait to see Jaime interact with Bran in season 8 if he gets to winterfell.
I love your videos
Makes sense but I always thought it was cersei he was referring to
You're awesome man
Maybe I have to read the books in English. ..
"Does Jaime love his children" well he doesn't have much of a relationship with them but in the books he definitively didn't like jofrey at all, considered him nothing more than his seed rather than his son, he didn't get to be close to them at all
in the show he says that he couldn't be their father or close because it'd raise suspicion and they'd all get killed
he had the briefest moment when myrcella tells him that she knows and she's glad he's her dad, but 2 seconds later she dies in his arms
in the books there was a very good scene during tywin's funeral, his body was kept for a whole week in the sept so the stench was really strong, tommen was like 8 (much younger than the show) and when he was there he threw up, then jaime took him out and was calmly explaining to him that he needs to hold back ect it was really cute like 'i could finally do something for my kid" but then comes cersei all angry and raging and doesn't let him even finish talking to him,
so i think while he would've liked to be more involved in their lives, the fear of their true parentage being discovered along with cersei isolating them from him didn't really help build a good relationship with them
I agree, but this is the way I interpret it
"The things I do for love" is about cersei that's for sure but it shows where his motivation lies as a person, "the things i do for love" but with each person he loves, the things he does for them changes, that's the big difference
with cersei it means sacrificing a good life as lord of casterly rock to join kingsguard and be with her (btw brienne asks him why and he thinks "i did it for love") or doing horrible things to hide their secret or to just please her always bringing out the worst in him (which he notices after he comes back to KL) in the show he says it again while threatening to throw off edumre's baby with a catapult in the riverrun episode (again proving just how toxic that relationship is, which olenna perfectly tells him "she'll be the end of you")
with tyrion it's more of a "i'll do anything to protect you cause you're my brother even if our family taught me to hate you" like setting him free saving his life and in the show he was even prepared to leave kingsguard and become tywin's heir after years of refusing
love is a strong word in that time for brienne but we can say he was at least attached to her and "the things I do for love" was following his instincts and risk his life for hers going back for her in harrenhal
so while the line itself refers to cersei to me it kinda sums up what the character stands for, what his motivation are, in complete contrast to both tywin and cersei who have power in a much higher priority, like tyrion once said to tywin he cares more about "the family name" than the actual family, like cersei cares more about her power, and even tho she says she loves jaime it comes from an insanely narcissistic place when his comes off a more genuine
I hope bran worgs into Jaime and throws his ass out a window
Courage the cowardly dog always says that 👀
Great video! Thanks!
Excellent brother. There can't be backlash from last night. You spoke the truth and it needed to be heard. You're positivity is a welcome sight in these time. As always much respect brother. And agree it's mainly for cersei. He has tommen and MYRCELLA but runs around the river lands playing clean up
Jamie is an odd one that's for sure. When you first meet him he seems so cocky & conceited & arrogant, a real "prince." Then when you delve into his backstory & his relationship with Cersai you see just how terribly she treats him & everything he's seen & experienced causes him to be very cynical. He's a product of his environment, & he's been conditioned to protect his family's safety & honor no matter the cost. If the truth about he & Cersai got back to Robert, they're all as good as dead the children included. At least that's what Jamie & Cersai tell themselves. ..but yeah, for whatever reasons Jamie was always willing to be subservient to Cersai. Definitely some toxic psychological bonds going on between them that was always going to end in tragedy.
Love you and your work atm bridge it's keeping me going man!
👍🏻👍🏻
Soooooo, its not a Courage the Cowardly reference?
loath·ing
ˈlōT͟HiNG/Submit
noun
a feeling of intense dislike or disgust; hatred.
"the thought filled him with loathing"
I really dont think he was using his brain when he pushed Bran. It had to be a pretty awkward moment. Jaime still has to die a horrible death.
I always thought this line was for Cersei… cuz Jaime says it twice on the show as well… before Bran, and with Edmure… both times referring to Cersei….
Man, selling a 2 seater to make way for the brand new Volvo people carrier, that truly is the things people do for love! Great video as always Kevin, loved the vlog also, was great to get a bit more of an insight into things that wouldn't quite make one of your usual uploads! Always excited to see you have uploaded a new video. You've proven quality isn't earned through one succesfull video but by making a habit out of uploading strong original content consistently. Keep it up bro!
Stop stalking me
Great video! Have a sort of off topic question, have you watched the expanse? I would really like to see you make content for it when the new season starts! It's deep enough for your in depth of videos!
👍
I love your videos so much!
Each time I watch one of your Thrones videos, I think of your amazing Westworld ones.
Book Jaime is indifferent to his children w the exception of Joffrey, whom he dislikes. I'd like to see him form a relationship with Tommen & especially Myrcella. Doesn't Jaime think he needs to get Tommen away from Cersei before she screws him up or was that just Tyrion?
Jaime showed no remorse or hesitation when pushing Bran in the show so I thought they might take a different path with him and have him loyal to cersi but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and the writers on the show done a awesome job turning his character around, Brilliant actor. Great video dude, keep it up
The Jaime POV chapters are where I finally started to forgive Jaime. If you look at all of "the things he's done for love" you realize that his entire life and almost everything in it is built around Cersei and what she has wanted. He gave up all rights to Casterly Rock in order to be with her.
I'm with you that Jamie has done horrible things for Cersei and not for his family. IMO that makes what he did to Bran that much worse. He wasn't trying to protect his children, it was just for selfish reasons. And why would he want to hurt Arya? To repay her for what she did to Joffrey? No. To punish her for insulting his Lannister pride and because it's what Cersei would want. Pretty despicable. At first I thought why would Kev do such a damning video about Jamie when I know you're a Jamie fan? Then it came to me…so you can do another video on the cretin to show how he's redeemed. Am I right? Yep, I thought so. >:)
Good work like always! It's realy hard to wait your next video 🙂

Even as I know how horrible Cersei is I was still surprised that she wanted Arya dead or to loose a hand! When I read that I was so shocked. This was one of the scenes that helped me realise how much I loved Jaime! He has changed so much and despite his thoughts I don't think he would have gone through with it!
Love😍
I think the sentence not have to be only for Cercei, it can be for others he loves. Like Tyrion.
In S01 first episode, Tyrion said "God blase me in one thing" and then Jaime enter the room. And Jaime save his life once already.
Other thing, in my opinion, The time Bran fall down and the episode closed in black, is foreshadowing the end of the series.
what Jaime wants to say: The things i do for you, you wicked little bitch.
