WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS BELOW

Game of Thrones season 8 started way back in October of last year and only wrapped in June. We covered a lot of filming activity in that time — we have a good idea what’s going down in King’s Landing and Winterfell, for example — but some things slipped through the cracks.

Case in point: in early June, , a reliable supplier of on-the-set photos throughout the production process, posted pics of telltale pink “GOT” signs in an industrial park at the southeastern end of Castlereagh Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The site is known to be used by the Northern Irish film industry.

Per a source of , the crew was filming a scene here “over many week.” There’s no way to verify that, but the pink “GOT” signs only appear where members of the Game of Thrones production are working, so something went down here. But what?

More pink signs were spotted near a building on nearby Montogmery Road:

At the end of the day, we don’t know what was shot here, and probably won’t until the new episodes come out and we can make some educated guesses. The scope of shooting on season 8 was vast, and because of how explosive so much of it was, it’s not surprising that a few things flew under the radar. How are we supposed to pay attention to what’s going on in this quiet corner of Belfast when the King’s Landing set looks like this?

Well played, Game of Thrones. Well played.
