Welcome to our new feature, the Throne Down, which will tell you where we think the remaining families stand in the final days of “Game of Thrones.” Here’s who’s up and who’s down:

House Targaryen:

This house stands at Winterfell, with everyone else (except Cersei). Will the house become divided when concerned parties realize they’ve committed accidental incest because Daenerys is Jon’s aunt? Icky.

DOWN:  Daenerys is being entitled to Northerners who aren’t having it. She isn’t being welcomed with open arms.

House Stark:

Jon has a lot of decisions to make. He knows he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. He also knows that he is related to his girlfriend. Oops.

Meanwhile, Sansa is the only one thinking politically — and she doesn’t trust Dany as far she can throw her. Bran is waiting to trip up Jaime Lannister, who just arrived at Winterfell. Arya is flirting with Gendry and making a mystery weapon.

UP: Sansa Stark is the only person currently on the show thinking about big picture politics and strategy instead of her own ego or grievances.

House Lannister:

Cersei thinks she’s safe in Kings Landing. Perhaps she’s made a mistake by sleeping with Euron Greyjoy, whom she termed the most arrogant man she’s met. She has a new army, the Golden Company, and a new crossbow and has enlisted Bronn to kill both brothers, Jaime and Tyrion.

DOWN: Nobody’s happy to see Jaime in Winterfell, since everyone remembers the smug ass he was in Season 1. Cersei is plotting to kill both her own brothers. Tyrion got a verbal smackdown from his ex-wife Sansa.

The Night King:

After poking through the Wall in the Season 7 finale, he has yet to make an appearance this season.

EVEN: He’s MIA.

House Greyjoy:

Theon Greyjoy frees his sister Yara from captivity on their evil uncle Euron’s boat and they head to Winterfell.

UP: Yara is liberated and Theon is riding off to be a hero.

“Game of Thrones” final season airs Sunday nights on HBO at 9 pm.
