Me at the beginning: Such a random little tale, why make a video about it?
Me at the end: Holy shit, this story started the events of Game of Thrones.
@ Alt Shift X – BRAVO, sir. I absolutely enjoyed every second of this video. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together. This kind of stuff helps me understand GRRM's world so much more deeply with each new episode.
Waht if rhhegar is a mistery knight
I still think Lyanna had twins Jon and Meera being that howLand and Ned were there at the Tower of joy besides Jon and Meera look too much alike
Fuck This this nigga the reason Rhaegar won and crowned Lyanna
So a 14yr old boy can't be the knight cuz too small. But a 15yr old girl would suffice..
great logic.
Glad to see one year made the difference
Great video, well told. Bravo
Why tf did this make me tear up?
The amount of badasses on that single tournament…wow.
I would've loved to see that on the show.
Poor Jonothor Darry, isnt there a better picture? LOL
12:15…. YOU FUCKING NAILED IT
Damn, all of these theories are pretty great. I almost don't want a definitive answer now. But it'd also be really cool to see the Tourney of Harrenhal in the last season.

Dead on with Bran witnessing the marriage I would say :D. Nicely done.
Dude, it was obviously young Hodor.
I just picked up on the fact that the Isle of Faces wedding was basically confirmed at the end of season 7. Wow.
It's scary how you got everything right.
"Lyanna and Rhaegar marrying around weirwood tree's so Bran can see them marry in visions"
It's like d&d watch your videos to write the scripts
man you got that "secret wedding in the middle of weirwoods all round so that psychic bran can later have a vision of the wedding" on point
Oh fack! How is this shit so deep man.
Holy shit that bit with the Ilse of faces, spot fucking on. Damn. This whole theory was 100% legit.
Holy shit, after S7E7, I honestly believe everything about this video. This is ridiculously impressive.
its lyanna %100
"this is all very speculative…."
Maybe I missed something but why would Lyanna choose the laughing tree as the symbol on her shield? It seems like a big coincidence that Reed prayed to the gods of the Isle and then Lyanna chooses the laughing tree as her sigill during the tournament
It fits with Lyanna.
Meera(who is telling the story) is desperately protecting Bran Stark.
Her father was protected by Lyanna at that tourney and if Meera grew up on that story and figured out that it was Lyanna then it is likely that Lyanna was a big rolemodel for Meera. So much so that she would be inspired when called to protect Bran.
All this timetravel business makes the story also interesting (If howland knows/suspects) that it is Eddard's son come back to help him. That would also give Meera agency to help.
Alt Shift X has a few good theories but he fails to take into account the actual narrator. It isn't GRRM telling the story. It's Meera. It's a biased narrator if not an unreliable one. She is telling the story to form closer bonds with bran, I assume, so telling a story with a strong female lead and with a plot that binds their two families together makes sense.
On a side note. I wish more mainstream authors would write with unreliable narrators.
Well well well, i watched this after episode 7.7 and it all makes sense, my hat is off for you sir
