Lyanna Mormont has been one of the heroes of Game of Thrones since her introduction in season six.
As the Lady of Bear Island, she has been one of the key supporters of the Starks and was the first to support Jon Snow’s claim as the King in the North.
Her mother had originally become the Lady of Bear Island after her brother Jeor Mormont joined the Night’s Watch and his son Jorah was exiled and later joined the service of Daenerys.
Following her mother’s death, Lyanna had become the new head of the northern house, despite being only thirteen years old.
Since then her bravery and firm stance with the other northern lords has made her a favourite among viewers.
Here is everything that you need to know about the character and the actress who plays her.
Who plays Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones?
Lyanna Mormont is played by British actress Bella Ramsey.
The 15-year-old from Nottingham had started acting from a young age, but she didn’t get her first credited role until she appeared in the sixth season of Game of Thrones.

She was then cast in a Netflix original animated series in 2018 called Hilda.
Bella voices the lead character in the series, who is described as a fearless, blue-haired girl who becomes friends with various monsters.
The children’s show was renewed for a second season, which is set to be released next year.
Bella has appeared as Lyanna Mormont in season six, seven and eight of Game of Thrones.
Here success on the show has also led to her securing small parts in movies such as Two for Joy, Holmes & Watson, and Judy.
