Whoopi Goldberg has given a little glimpse of her private life to Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, showing off her Iron Throne toilet.
Harington, 36, who played Jon Snow on the hit fantasy series for eight seasons, was a guest on US talk show The View, which Goldberg, 67, is a host of.
The Oscar-winning actress and comic revealed the Westeros-inspired ‘throne’ after Harington discussed his upcoming movie Baby Ruby.
During the interview, host Sara Haines briefly paused the discussion to tell the actor: ‘Whoopi has an actual Iron Throne in her dressing room.’
A picture of Goldberg’s so-called ‘Iron Throne’ was then shown on the screen, before co-host Sunny Hostin added: ‘The seat is heated.’
Harington, ever the charmer, couldn’t help himself from laughing and applauding at the site of Goldberg’s brilliantly decorated commode.
After the picture was shown, the Sister Act star then revealed that The View had been attempting to secure an interview with Harington for some time.
‘We tried for as long as Game of Thrones was on to get you to come and do The View, but we couldn’t because of filming schedules and stuff,’ she said.
‘Game of Thrones was a show, from day one, that was my favourite. And still remains. When I want to see something fun, I go there.’
Towards the end of the chat, Hostin asked Harington a group of quickfire questions about Game of Thrones and the potential Jon Snow sequel.
When quizzed about returning to the role, the Gunpowder actor kept his cards close to his chest and, unfortunately but understandably, gave nothing away.
At a recent Game of Thrones fan convention, the Eternals star confessed his annoyance about the catchphrase most associated with Jon in the series.
Wilding character Ygritte’s ‘You know nothing, Jon Snow’ was a hit with viewers and went some way to explaining the well-intentioned naivety at the centre of Jon’s character.
But Harington said: ‘I don’t know what it means! It’s like, what do you mean, I know nothing? What does that mean? What are you talking about?’
