  1. I would really like an answer to this…We ALL have noticed that the white walker passed him by while cowering before his brave moment, but did ANYONE notice that the rock he hid behind was shaped like the hills and structures in Dragonstone. It was a slow upward pan from a head shot. Seeing that the Night's Watch was operation on First Men/Children of the forest Holy Land, could this magic have hidden Sam, and be a key to the future?

  2. I conclusion, the White Walkers only kills the ones who put a threat in this world. If wares and battle violence stop in Westeros, The White walkers will stop invading and killing. But, there is another way to destroy ALL white walkers. If the Night King dies with the other commanders, every other will follow the same fate. There is also another way to beat them, they fear water, they cannot dive or swim. It seems they were only able to run and climb and kill. There is another way to beat them all, Bran can use his special ability to contrôle the white walkers at some point if he's enough powerful. Everyone fear the white walkers but seriously, the numbers of warriors doesn't matter. They only need one brave warrior who can deal against the Night King might and his commanders.

  3. The rock aspect of your argument is wrong. That was a continuity mistake in production of that wide angled shot. The scene shows wights walking past the boulders as Sam is looking at them. Then the walker attends on horse they look at each other then he moves on and the shot pans out. None of the dead are past the boulder.

  4. Isn't it obvious? Sam is too fat to join the undead army, he would slow them down even further!

If you look at the white walker he is clearly mumbling "hell no boy! we are already slow as hell, took us 7 seasons to walk the 1000 meters from the snow plains to the wall" – and then the WW is screaking desperately "faaaaaaaster" with his last voice.

But to be serious, in the first episode the wights did already spare a dude which got beheaded by Ned Stark later on. I don't believe the Whites need to see a man. They for sure could feel the warmth or smell or magically sense him.
Maybe as the Nightking seams also to have some warging and sensing capabilities he might have just imposed a potential thread to humans until they show up with Dragon's which he needed to melt down the wall. So every behaviour before could have been to lead to that goal.
Letting Sam pass was mandatory as he is the one who finds out about Dragonglass and giving Jon the drive to be King of the North later and then joining the Dragonqueen. No Sam no Jon = no Dragons flying over the wall

  5. What if it was because the night king is really Bran Stark after he gets stuck in a vision's time period and then knows that the future timeline involves Sam letting Bran past the gates of the wall…. probably not, but an interesting thought from someone who hasn't read the books

  6. BECAUSE BRAN KNOWS AS WE KNOW THAT SAM IS A LOYAL AND GOOD MAN.
BRAN TO SAM: YOU ARE A GOOD MAN.
THAT IS WHY THE WHITE WALKERD DIDNT KILL HIM, AS A ORDER FROM THE NIGHT KING( BRAN ), BECAUSE ALL IS CONNECTED WITH PAST

  7. Fear of enemy is one the weapon of enemy they want to use it every time they can , half of the battle is lost if you are scared of your enemy , Sam was not killed so he spread the horror of white walkers
