In Game Of Thrones, Westeros is a pretty big place and it’s not that surprising that characters may never have met.
What may be surprising to some fans though is the reason why two characters in particular – Cersei Lannister and Bronn – have never met, despite both living in King’s Landing and Bronn being pretty good pals with Tyrion and Jaime Lannister, Cersei’s brothers – and why there was one very awkward scene during the season finale in which Bronn and Podrick decided to head out for a drink to talk just as everyone, including Cersei, entered the Dragonpit for a Very Important Meeting.
Not exactly the time for a pint but it’s all because many years ago Lena Headey, who plays Cersei, and Jerome Flynn, the man behind Bronn, dated and now are reportedly no longer on speaking terms.
This bad blood between them means that they are never in the same room together, and therefore, never in the same scene.
‘Jerome and Lena aren’t on speaking terms any more and they are never in the same room at the same time,’ a source told The Telegraph in 2014.
‘It’s a pity because they appeared to have patched things up for a while, but now the word is they should be kept apart at all costs.’
A shame but at least it’s one solid reason for why two characters should meet but won’t.
Now, when will two two bad asses Arya Stark and Daenarys Targaryen share a scene?
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Lena and Jerome for comment.
