Just think about it … in the comic he takes the bat of some unknown guy … if they do the morales story and show how he got this far . They can do both a negan back story AND ! The creation of Lucile…MIND BLOWN ! really get into he’s back story and show how !! All of him became this pyro- batswinging- poor glen killing MONSTER !!

Yep totally agree , long long stretch to make more money.
Also these long stretches are making the so called good guys Rick ect boring, if Negan was real he would totally take over the walking dead show and not bother with money, Negan would have his Bat covered in the money greed people.

The worst thing about the walking dead for me is that there is no endgame, and I know some people like that but for me it just feels like the show is heading nowhere

I'm not a fan boy in fact I agree that they need to bring this series to an end. I do however feel that if the show was exactly the same story as the comics there would be no point to having the show at all because poeple who do read the comics would already know exactly what was going to happen every episode. Where is the fun in that? What other TV show or movie has ever followed the story of the books/comics exactly the same? Not many I know of

I thought I respected Gabriel until this episode then he had to go and get his dumbass caught because he tried to save that piece of shit Gregory who had never cared about anyone other than himself and betrayed his own villaige like the pussy he's always been. What made comic Negan work wasn't his brutality and violence. It was the tiny little speck of humanity that was still noticable in him despite the various atrocities he committed. Without any humanity a villain just goes into the garbage dump with all the other forgettable villains.

Yeah I get why people who don't read the comics don't like him. The show hasn't done a great job with him. The few attempts they've made to humanize him always get undercut with yet another brutal act. In the comics he legit cared about Carl, though he would never admit it out loud, and viewed him almost as a son. In the show it seems like that at first then he just tries to kill him. If they can save Negan they can save the show. They need to give him the qualities that made comic Negan so popular.
