Could it be that Sansa Stark will end up as Queen of Westeros? There are many contenders to the Iron Throne – Stannis, Daenerys, Jon, Aegon etc, but if we look to real history, mix in some prophecy and common sense about character arcs our conclusion is that Sansa Stark, the first of her name, will end up sitting on the Iron Throne as a ruling queen. Remember where you first heard it!

There are many similarities between Sansa and Queen Elizabeth of England. Both Sansa and Elizabeth were the daughter of beheaded traitors, grew up in a hostile court, were an unlikely candidate for the crown, were mentored by older lords that were attracted to them, and both of them have red hair.
Also, Sansa could fit the Magy the Frog prophecy to Cersei of a younger and more beautiful (queen) that will take everything from her. And since Sansa’s storyline included shattering her dreams pretty quickly, her learning from Littlefinger and ending up as a ruling queen (and not as a wife of a king) would be an awesome conclusion to her story arc.
Think about where Sansa started: as a wide-eyed girl who believes in fairy tales and brave and virtuous knights. She got engaged to a prince only to find out he’s a monster, knights are no better and that nobody cares who she wants to marry. That’s why Sansa was married off to Tyrion the imp. But now she knows Littlefinger is using her and she’s starting to learn how to play the game. Expect that learning curve to accelerate from now on until Sansa dumps Littlefinger and uses the power vacuum in Westeros to rally the Starks, Arryns, Tullys, the remaining Lannister (Tyrion) and maybe even the Martells behind her as a compromise candidate.
All hail Queen Sansa first of her name, queen of the Andals and the first men!

Living in La La Land
Sansa will be rules the north and in some sens rest of land but she will marry Gendry he will her pussycat
Another clue Sansa is Elizabeth: If Cersei is Mary Tudor, then Elizabeth should be her sister/half sister… But she has no sister, you’ll tell me. Wrong. She doesn’t have a sister, but she has a sister-in-law: SANSA.
Boom, called it, confirmed. 😉
Sansa IS Elizabeth, and Cersei’s “younger, more beautiful queen” 😀
I think Sansa will end up being like Olenna
she was reinstated into the line of succession though ( she got Catherine Parr( Henry viii 6th wife was very fond and William Cecil was seen as the man pulling the strings)
10:40 The Tyrells maybe one of the victims. BOOM called it. Confirmed!
I miss your curly hair Gil…
I still agree with this, I'll also put my money on Sansa. lol
The direwolf theory has come back. When a direwolf dies, the owner dies. I believe Bran will die at the end of the series. Do you think since Lady died in the place of Nymeria, Arya will die in the place of Sansa? OR Sansa will die in the place of Arya?
What people do not understand is that Sansa has become the most manipulative character in GOT. She is so good because she even manipulates the audience into thinking she's still naive and fragile when she was the one who watched Ramsey get eaten and didn't even flinch. She knows how to play the game
What about the fact that Sansa is the only one that lost her direwolf? I think the direwolf is connected with a somber fate. Or at least this is what Catelyn thought when Ned brought the direwolves back home, in the beginning of the 1st book!! It makes sense!! I think this is another hint that Sansa will be the only Stark is destined for something different and brighter.
now that we know that jon is legitimate. wouldn't this mean if both he and daenerys die, which is highly probable that Sansa would be the rightful heir to the throne as she would be the most senior living relative to the current heir/s to the throne? it would be a nice twist that could see arya as warden of the north, a role far better suited to her character, and sansa as queen, plus if both daenerys and jon die neither camp would win and what is best for the rest of the characters in that scenario. I could easily see most people say Sansa as queen as it suits her character better and Arya lady of winterfell, warden of the north.
sansa stark, queen in the north, riverlands and the vale. first of her name. the Red Wolf.
unleasher of dogs. avenger of jon arryn. lover of lemon cakes. girlfriend of margaery tyrell. savior of winterfell
This is looking much more likely after S7E7. Your analysis has proved very good in general.
I just watched this video and I am 100% sure about Sansa ruling Westeros like you. I also discussed with others the similarities to Elizabeth I and Sansa but yes most people disagree with me..So yes thank you for the video!!!
Ned : Decapitated
Catelyn : Cut Throat
Rickon : Shot with arrows to dead
Bran : Thrown by a cliff and got paralytic
Arya : Stabbed
Robb : Stabbed and Decapitated
Jon : Stabbed 8 times
Sansa : A doubtfull rape, slaps, and a rape attempt.
Everyone: Oh poor sansa…
Henry never changed the law. It was there all along, women could always inharite the thrones in theory if there is no male hair alive
As of season 7 i can only say Sansa might be the final queen of the show. but Dany will be the one to destitute Cersei. the prophecy refers to someone that refers to herself as a queen. Right now there is only one queen in westeros that challenges Cersei and it is Dany.
Cersei knows how to rule, and Daenerys knows how to conquer, BUT Sansa knows how to reign! Remember what Jon said to Sansa quoting Ned's words? Anything before the word "but" is horseshit.
Great reasoning, and I agree of Sansa on the throne. I also thought of her but with Gandrey, Robert's bastard son. Robert said to Eddard "You have a daughter and I have a son, we'll unite our houses". Different son yes but why is Gandry brought back this late — to forge some dragon glass? But your theory is more plausible. Great piece.
Guys I watched this 2 years ago. I'm starting to see your point. Look at how Sansa is now comporting herself in Winterfell in Season 7.
What accent is this?
Spanish Armada was in 1588 not 1558. Interestingly in 1589 Francis Drake led the English Armada which was totally crushed by Spain. English historians never talk about this because it spoils the "Elizabethan Golden Age" narrative.
Sansa will be queen. Boom. Called it. Confirmed.
I agree with this completely. @10:00 Dany has more in common with Caesar .. well meaning intentions, huge dreams, a conqueror, he builds a huge empire but ultimately defeated by his dearest friend. Were going to see that here as well …
#TeamSansa
mind blown
R stands for Regina, means Queen in Latin. Its to highlight the distinction that she is crowned as a female King, rather than the wife of the monarch. 5:56
north remembers
yes, sansa is the queen
Sansa becoming queen for no reason ruins the magical properties of the show for me. Besides the fact that I think she would be a brutal and unforgiving queen, I would much rather have a democratic counsel established in westeros. Or the Targaryens back because they're badass come on people they have freaking dragons and all Sansa has are lemoncakes.
Sansa for queen! Like Elisabeth York/Tudor!
I love book Sansa. She has such a great development. Just like Jaime does. Sansa start as an innocent child, only 12 years old. She has grown up thinking that everyting is like the songs: The knights are gallant, brave and just. The ladies are beautiful… But then realty hits and nothing is like she thought it would be, so she slowly becomes a player.
On another YouTube video, it was pointed out that the Stark children's fates are tied to their direwolves. Since Lady (Sansa's direwolf) died in place of Nymeria (Arya's direwolf), wouldn't it make sense for Sansa to die in place of Arya?
Shit, they just predicted the destruction of house Tyrell
Why does it make sense so much??? Dany on the throne is the end of the show!
I am totally fine that Dany sit on the throne at the end. I doubt Sansa has that much competitive ambition. Sansa will be happy to stay in the North. but, young queen more beautiful than Cercei,,,this should be Sansa. She is the person that should take everything from Cersei. That is the only one hope I have.
