Game of Thrones fans have got one heck of a reunion special to keep their excitement going ahead of season eight, but Jason Momoa doesn’t actually know if he’ll be popping up with his old co-stars anytime soon.

The 39-year-old has taken the dive from Westeros to ruler of the seas in DC Comic’s Aquaman, and has understandably been pretty busy conquering the oceans as one of the box office’s most bankable superheroes.

In turn, Jason admitted it’s unlikely he’ll be appearing in the Game of Thrones reunion, which Richard Madden also ruled himself out of now he’s a Golden Globe nominee and all that.

When quizzed by the Indo-Asian News Service if he’s going to appear in the HBO special, the Khal Drogo star simply said: ‘I don’t think so.’

Although, when the reunion was filmed months ago, surely he’d have a pretty firm idea if he was in it or not, no?

Jason recently admitted that after Game of Thrones he struggled to land any decent roles because he was so darn good as the Warlord of the Dothraki people.

‘I didn’t get much work after that,’ Jason said on The Graham Norton Show.

‘I mean, what do you do with that? [Khal Drogo] doesn’t speak English, he’s not funny and he just hurts people.’

He added: ‘I played that character so well it was a bit challenging afterwards. People would literally say, “Wow, you speak English!”’

There has been speculation Jason would be reprising his role as Khal Drogo in some form for the final season of Game of Thrones after he was spotted with his old castmates in Belfast.

Yes, he may have been killed off to the point of no return in season one, but there’s several fan theories floating around which actually do have legs.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
