Much like the literal universe, the X-Men movie universe is rapidly expanding.
Three X-Men projects are currently in, or gearing up for, production. The most recently announced of those, ‘The New Mutants’, has put out a casting notice for the villain of its film, and fans are of course wild with speculation about which villain from the comic books will be appearing in the film.
It’s already been announced that Split star Anya Taylor-Joy will be playing Magik and Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams will appear in the film as Wolfsbane.
But production for the film sent out a casting notice looking for men who are 6 foot 9 to 7 foot 4, and very thin and athletic. This has led fans to speculate that the antagonist of the film might be Demon Bear, a villain from a popular run of ‘The New Mutants’ comics who takes possession of one of the team’s parents.
